by Paul Hamilton: WGR550.com – Chad Johnson is again a member of the Buffalo Sabres. The free agent goaltender agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.5 million. Last year Johnson inked a one-year, $1.7 million dollar deal. He made $1.6 million during his season in Buffalo.
In Calgary, Johnson went 18-15-1 with a 2.59 goals against and .910 save percentage. He said, “For me last year came down to opportunities. Having conversations with the Flames organization I just felt in came down to the best situation for me to be able to come in and compete for playing time, so the whole thing was nice, it was an opportunity for me to play in my hometown in Calgary.”
