The Columbus Blue Jackets used a three-goal outburst in the second period to rout the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 on Wednesday night at Nationwide Arena. Seth Griffith scored the lone Buffalo goal in the loss.
Just under four minutes into the game, Cam Atkinson thought he scored the game’s first goal, but goaltender interference wiped out the score and kept the game at 0-0. The puck was shoveled into a wide open net because Nick Foligno backed into Chad Johnson and did not allow the goaltender to play the puck in his crease.
