Flyers defeat Sabres for fifth straight win

Valtteri Filppula scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period to lift the Philadelphia Flyers to their fifth consecutive win, 2-1 against the Buffalo Sabres at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday.
