Sabres lose 3-2 in OT to Islanders

Kyle Okposo scored against his former team, but it was not enough for the Sabres in their 3-2 overtime loss against the New York Islanders on Wednesday night at Barclays Center.

Neither team was able to break through on the scoresheet in the opening twenty minutes. The Islanders controlled the puck and momentum for the first half of the period thanks to a Justin Falk tripping minor. That helped New York open up a 10-1 shot on goal advantage.
