Nino Niederreiter recorded a hat trick for the Minnesota Wild in their 6-2 win over the Sabres on Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center.
Niederreiter scored his eleventh goal of the season, coming just over a minute into the game to give the Wild a 1-0 lead. Mikael Granlund and Mikko Koivu were credited with the assists on the goal. Just a minute and six seconds later Daniel Winnik doubled the Minnesota lead to 2-0. The two goals came on just three shots for the home team.
