Jeff Skinner scored on the power play at 1:49 of overtime, and the Buffalo Sabres ended a five-game losing streak with a 4-3 win against the Los Angeles Kings at KeyBank Center on Tuesday. 

Skinner got the rebound off Jack Eichel‘s initial shot in the crease and scored into an open net.

Eichel scored his fifth goal in the past three games to cut it to 3-2 on the power play at 3:47 of the third period, and Johan Larsson tied it 3-3 at 7:23 when he redirected Lawrence Pilut‘s pass in front. Read More

Sabres dominate Kings 5-1

Jeff Skinner scored three times, including twice in the second period, to lead the Sabres 5-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday afternoon at Staples Center.

Buffalo went to the power play less than a minute into the game. Jake Muzzin was called for interference 17 seconds into the game. I’ve been saying since the San Jose game ended that Jack Eichel has to be the leader that leads them out of their mini slump. On Saturday in Los Angeles, he did just that.
