The Boston Bruins scored twice in the opening period, helping the team defeat the Buffalo Sabres 4-0 on Thursday night at KeyBank Center.
Zdeno Chara opened the scoring with his first goal of the season. It came on Boston’s fifth shot of the period. It was the Bruins’ first goal of the season, after getting shut out by the Washington Capitals 7-0 last night. Brad Marchand and Charlie McAvoy received the assists on the game’s first score.
